Chocolate Fudge Bites

Wouldn’t it be great if your kids made you chocolate fudge? This recipe is so easy they probably can. You’re welcome.

Chocolate Fudge Bites

  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 cup of “something special” (Be creative! These additions can be things like: dried cranberries, dried chopped apricots, raisins, chopped nuts of any kind, toffee bits, chopped soft maple sugar candies, shredded coconut, peanut butter chips, pretzel pieces, crumbled cooked bacon, crushed barbeque chips {trust me – so good!}, or any combination like dried cranberries and chopped pistachios or chopped dried pineapple and shredded coconut)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • More of your “something special” for topping (This will help your tasters identify what’s in them. If you’re using chopped pecans, save some pecan halves for topping)

In a medium-sized microwave safe bowl, add the chocolate chips, butter, sweetened condensed milk and salt. Microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir and then microwave for 30 more seconds. If it is not completely melted, microwave for another 30 seconds. Mix in your “something special” and the vanilla extract and stir to combine. Drop the mixture by teaspoonfuls onto wax or parchment paper lined baking sheets. Top each bite with a bit of your “something special”. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes or the freezer for 15 minutes. YUM!
